Patient Care Tech II (ER) at Hannibal Regional Hospital – Hannibal, Missouri

The Patient Care Tech II position is available to assist healthcare practitioners in the daily functions of the Emergency Department. The PCT will be a member of the ED team and will be responsible for working cooperatively with team members, leadership, and physicians to perform tasks needed to provide optimum patient care. This position functions under the supervision of the Emergency Department Physician in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the National Scope of Practice for Paramedics. The Patient Care Tech II will assist the licensed nurse in the implementation of plan of care for patients presenting to the emergency department, and will report directly to the charge nurse. This Job Description will be used to guide the Patient Care Tech II in determining which approved skills can be performed for this role.

• Current certification in the state of MO as a paramedic. NREMT required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a field paramedic with EMS agency.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
