About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to develop and implement processes and procedures aimed at the highest product quality standards and process consistency throughout the manufacturing cycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote continuous improvement, optimize testing procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Using data analysis, statistical methods and quality management tools to improve product quality, reduce waste and ensure customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and the company's quality objectives.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or others, aiming to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products, ensuring compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits to verify compliance with QMS standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, as well as preparing audit reports and following up on corrective actions.
  • Conduct supplier audits, monitor their performance, and support improvement initiatives, to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
  • Analyze production data, track quality metrics, and report on product and process performance, using statistical methods and quality tools (e.g., SPC, MSA).
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and compliance reports, while ensuring traceability of product quality data to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Develop and deliver quality training to production staff, suppliers, and other departments, ensuring alignment with quality standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Analyze customer feedback, warranty claims, and returns, to identify improvement opportunities, implement and controlling continuous improvement initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and reduce product defects.

Qualifications


  • 3-5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong track record in process optimization, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience working with quality management systems (QMS) and leading smaller improvement projects.
  • Proficiency in Quality Tools and Methodologies: Experience using statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, MSA, Pareto analysis, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with QMS Software: Proficiency in Quality Management System (QMS) software (e.g., Master Control, Sparta Systems, etc.) to maintain documentation, track audits, and manage corrective actions.
  • Inspection and Testing Proficiency: Hands-on experience with inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges), and knowledge of testing techniques (e.g., destructive and non-destructive testing) to ensure product conformance.
  • Data Analysis and Statistical Process Control (SPC): Ability to analyze production data using SPC tools, process control charts, and other statistical methods to monitor product quality and improve process consistency.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Proficiency in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for complex quality problems using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).e.• "
