Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision. You must be a versatile generalist capable of performing high-complexity testing across multiple specialties including Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking, and Bacteriology.

Shift Differentials

Earn more for your overnight expertise:

• Night (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): Additional $6.00/hour (minimum 4 hours worked to qualify).

Core Responsibilities

• Hematology: Manual/automated cell counts and slide preparation.
• Chemistry & Serology: Specimen processing, specialized testing, and reporting critical values.
• Blood Banking: Blood typing, antibody screens, and compatibility testing.
• Bacteriology: Culture setups, gram stains, and positive blood culture identification.
• Operations: Specimen packaging for reference labs and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must be licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist by the NYS Department of Education.
• Skillset: Ability to work as a generalist (Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Banking, Urinalysis, Serology, Phlebotomy, and limited Microbiology).
