CAH-Lab-Medical Technologist - Full Time - primary shift 7a-3p, varying shifts as needed- Req 9264

Pay Range $39.66-$45.57*+

Candidate responsible for the accurate and precise performance of assigned laboratory procedures, and the reporting of same to the proper physician or medical record on a timely basis. Responsible for maintaining the laboratory work place, including equipment and records in good working order; and maintaining a positive image of the laboratory and hospital to the patients, community and co-workers. Assists in researching, testing and briefing in-house new procedures or methodologies. Follows hospital and laboratory policies. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards within section. Assists in training employees. Obtains patient blood from inpatients and outpatients as required. Assists in processing paperwork and filing as required.

Qualifications:

• As specified by the New York State Department of Health code.
• MT registry by ASCP or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess knowledge of age specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to Laboratory procedures.

*The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts. +This rate does not include the evening shift differential of $3 or the overnight shift differential of $3.50.
