Powers Health is hiring a Pre-Registration Representative!

Full-time

M-F 9:00 am to 5:30 pm

Job Description:

Responsibilities include the initiation of pre-registration processes for op surgery, direct admission surgical population, Cath Lab, GI Lab, Sleep Lab using the hospital information system. Contacts insurance carriers to determine benefits and self-pay amounts due prior to date of service. Ensures that all third party payor requirements are met for all elective admissions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Typing 35 wpm, with computer knowledge PC keyboarding skills required.
• Medical terminology required and health insurance knowledge including experience with Managed Care requirements.
• 1-year business related experience preferred and must demonstrate ability in communication and problem-solving skills.
