Warehouse - Summer Help in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan at Etna Shared Services

Job Summary: Receive and stock product, assist with warehouse and yard operations, load materials, and prepare orders for shipment and customer pick-up in a safe and efficient manner.

Schedule:

• Part-time position
• 10am-2pm
• Approximately 4–6 hours per day, 4 days per week

Typical Responsibilities:

• Deliver a positive customer experience by meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• Understand the warehouse/yard layout, bin location system, and the various products stocked by the company.
• Handle all materials, products, and equipment with care.
• Pull, load, package, and prepare materials/products for shipment or customer pick-up.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
• Receive incoming product and inspect materials for accuracy, damage, and freight count discrepancies.
• Stock and organize products in their designated warehouse and yard locations.
• Help prevent shipping, receiving, and inventory errors by verifying completed work.
• Properly label all products for delivery and customer pick-up.
• Complete and document all receiving paperwork, shortages, and damages accurately.
• Report vendor shipping errors in accordance with company SOPs.
• Scan and file receiving documents, freight claims, and RGA documentation as needed.
• Assist customers at the counter and in the yard when needed.
• Support general warehouse and yard organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping.
• Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, customer service, judgment, stress management, and attention to detail skills.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities throughout the workday.
• Effective computer skills.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and work safely at all times.

Certifications and/or Licenses:

• Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.
