Production Lead (Full-Time) - Canajoharie, NY in Canajoharie, New York at Commercial Solar Panel Recycling Inc

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and process-oriented Production Lead for daily warehouse and manufacturing operations. This active, floor role involves receiving shipments, managing inventory, operating equipment, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and managing 1-2 production assistants. Candidates must be able to attend an onsite interview to be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Processing

• Coordinate, lead, unload and organize incoming and outbound trucks and shipments
• Inspect materials for damage
• Verify contents against work orders and Bills of Lading
• Escalate discrepancies

Inventory Management

• Sort, label, scan, and organize inventory
• Store materials in designated warehouse locations
• Log and maintain ERP inventory data
• Identify gaps and implement improvements

Order Fulfillment

• Coordinate, prepare, and pack orders for shipment
• Ensure orders meet company standards and timelines
• Monitor facility and team productivity
• Identify gaps and implement improvements

Machine Operation

• Oversee and operate processing machinery and related equipment
• Ensure safe and efficient team training and use of forklift
• Use forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials

Quality Control & Maintenance

• Inspect and enforce production stream
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Identify, report, and address safety hazards promptly
• Track and perform scheduled maintenance on equipment, vehicles, and facility systems

Documentation

• Update inventory and processes using company ERP system
• Complete, review, and validate safety logs and required reports
• Track key production metrics and performance

Management

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of 1-2 production assistants
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure both productivity and quality standards are met
• Enforce safety protocols and company procedures
• Serve as Point of Contact for facility escalations (workflow, employees, equipment, safety, production).

Work Environment

• Unheated warehouse and manufacturing setting
• Physical, hands-on role requiring movement and equipment operation
• Active role requiring computer skills, floor presence, and teamwork

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Experience with (or willingness to learn) how to operate and inspect forklifts, pallet jacks, and processing equipment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory and order processing
• Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience preferred
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and lead a team with flexibility on demand
• Working knowledge of production tracking and computerized logging preferred
• Dependable with strong work ethic
• Safety-conscious and able to enforce PPE (personal protective equipment)
• Team-oriented with the ability to meet productivity goals
• Ability to communicate and problem solve
