Specialty Construction System Inc is seeking an experienced Foreman to support and lead field crews on commercial and government construction projects. This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, responsible for directing daily work activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring crews stay productive and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, dependable leader who takes pride in craftsmanship, is open to learning, and can help build and maintain strong field teams.

• Lead and supervise field crews performing concrete, steel, masonry, repair, and coating work

• Coordinate daily jobsite activities to meet production goals and schedules

• Must be a self starter, as well as be able to take direction from your superintendent

• Enforce jobsite safety standards and maintain compliance with OSHA and NYC SST requirements

• Work hands-on alongside crews to ensure quality workmanship and efficiency

• Communicate daily progress, issues, and manpower needs to the Superintendent

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are used properly and safely

• Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites

• Mentor and support crew members, including helping onboard skilled tradespeople

• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays or rework

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial construction, with prior foreman or lead experience preferred

• Strong background in concrete, masonry, and/or coating systems

• Proven ability to lead crews and maintain productivity on active jobsites

• Required: NYC SST Certification

• Ability to read blueprints and follow project specifications

• Strong work ethic, leadership skills, and willingness to learn

• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel as project demands require

• A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws

• $30 $40 per hour
