Surgical Specialists of Charlotte is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented Coordinator, Practice Operations to support the day-to-day operational performance of assigned practice site(s).
This role is ideal for a healthcare operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about supporting both patients and providers through strong operational leadership.
As the Coordinator, Practice Operations, you will partner closely with practice leadership to help drive site performance across patient access, patient experience, workflow efficiency, quality, safety, and financial stewardship. You will play an important role in supporting staff, improving processes, and helping ensure the practice operates smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Support daily operations across assigned practice site(s) to promote efficient workflows and an exceptional patient experience
Partner with leadership to support site performance across access to care, service excellence, operational efficiency, quality, safety, and financial performance
Assist with monitoring key operational metrics, including scheduling utilization, staffing coverage, patient flow, no-show trends, and service standards
Prepare draft staffing schedules for leadership review based on patient volume and operational needs
Support payroll documentation, timekeeping, and PTO routing in accordance with company policy
Assist with front-end revenue integrity processes, including insurance verification, point-of-service collections, and charge capture accuracy
Help ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, patient safety, and internal policies and procedures
Support workflow optimization across scheduling, check-in/check-out, rooming, and other site-based processes
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional office environment and help ensure office and clinical supplies are properly stocked
Provide operational support in front-office or clinical workflows, as appropriate to training and skill set
Assist with recruitment coordination, onboarding support, and training of new team members
Provide day-to-day coaching and workflow support to staff in partnership with leadership
Support reporting, dashboard monitoring, and preparation of operational summaries to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities
Assist with practice growth initiatives, provider onboarding, site readiness activities, and implementation of operational projects
Collaborate with surgeons, providers, staff, and hospital partners to support schedule coordination and practice operations
Travel to other SSC locations as needed to support operational needs
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, operations, or a related field preferred
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
Experience
Two or more years of healthcare operations experience required
Previous supervisory, lead, or project leadership experience preferred
Key Qualifications
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
