Manager, RN - CVSS, INU and CardioNeuro at CaroMont Health – Gastonia, North Carolina

Job Summary: The Nurse Manager provides 24/7 operational, clinical, and leadership oversight for the Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit (CVSS), Imaging Nursing Unit (INU), and CardioNeuro departments. This role is accountable for safe, high-quality, evidence-based care, operational efficiency, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and achievement of departmental and organizational goals. The Nurse Manager partners with physicians, advanced practice providers, educators, and interdisciplinary leaders to advance cardiovascular and imaging programs and optimize patient outcomes across the continuum of care. This role participates in organization-wide coordination of patient care and integration of departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission, goals and CARES values.

Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license). Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred. Two years of leadership experience preferred. Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles, methods, and techniques. Demonstrated skills in performing nursing procedures; ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads, and families/visitors. Significant ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff. Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, or PALS as required by specialty area.
