Position Summary
The Overnight Baker is responsible for preparing baked goods and pastry items according to established recipes and production schedules. Working overnight, this role focuses on executing specific baking tasks to ensure fresh, consistent products are ready for morning café and cafeteria service.
This is a production-based position within a professional, chef-driven kitchen. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to follow clear processes.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare and bake pastries, breakfast items, and other baked goods according to recipes
-Measure and scale ingredients accurately
-Proof, bake, cool, and store products properly
-Follow daily production lists and timelines
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of baking stations
-Properly label, date, and store all products
-Assist with simple prep tasks as needed
-Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
What We’re Looking For
-Previous baking or kitchen experience preferred but not required
-Ability to follow recipes precisely
-Basic understanding of baking fundamentals (or willingness to learn)
-Dependable and comfortable working independently overnight
-Strong time management skills
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
