About This Position

Position Description:

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSRS)

Do you have a passion for supporting individuals with mental health needs as they work toward independence and recovery? We’re looking for a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist (PSRS) to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide direct support, lead skill-building groups, and assist with crisis intervention—all while helping individuals develop life, vocational, and social skills that empower them to thrive.

This is a hands-on opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working alongside a dedicated, collaborative care team.

What You’ll Do

  • Support individuals in programming, daily living, and social activities
  • Facilitate educational and skill-building groups that promote independence
  • Model and teach appropriate social skills and coping strategies
  • Use de-escalation techniques to help prevent or respond to crises
  • Monitor safety and security of the treatment environment
  • Document services accurately and in compliance with standards

    • What We’re Looking For

    Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field (preferred; can substitute for experience)

    • Experience

  • 2+ years working in a mental health program with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (required, unless substituted with degree)

    • Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid driver’s license (preferred; some driving may be required)
