Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations across multiple entities. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and dependable professional who can maintain accurate financial records, support reporting processes, and ensure transactions are properly coded, organized, and reconciled.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Process vendor payments accurately andin a timely manner
- Apply incoming payments to the correct invoices and systems
Transaction Management & Data Entry
- Review and code receipts, invoices, and transactions to theappropriate GLaccounts and divisions
- Enter andmaintainaccuratefinancial data within accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Ensure all transactions are properly documented and categorized
Reconciliation & Financial Accuracy
- Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready financial records
- Identifydiscrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Reporting & Month-End Support
- Assistwith month-end close processes, including journal entries and supporting schedules
- Run financial reports andassistin preparing internal financial statements
- Support leadership with financial data and reporting needs
Record Keeping & Organization
- Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
- Handle sensitive financial information with integrity and confidentiality
Standards, Training, & Accountability
- Uphold company standards for accuracy, organization, and financial integrity
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls
- Promote accountability, attention to detail, and consistency across all financial processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
- Associate’s orBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (GL coding, debits/credits, reconciliations)
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High levelof integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Salary
$50,000–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
