Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Principal Infrastructure Hardware Engineer to architect, design, and deliver system platforms supporting characterization, validation, ATE, and high-volume manufacturing of SiTime products. This is a technical leadership role with no direct reports, ideal for a senior designer who excels at deep technical ownership and cross-functional influence

Key Responsibilities

System Architecture & Design Ownership

Own end-to-end system hardware design from architecture through production releaseDefine system architecture, schematics, PCB stack-ups, and layout constraintsDrive component selection and vendor strategy balancing performance, cost, quality, and supplyLead SI/PI, PDN design and advanced simulations for low-jitter, high-speed interfacesManufacturing, Prototype Bring-Up, Debug & ValidationDrive DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews with fabrication and assembly partnersLead hands-on prototype bring-up, debug, and characterizationPerform system-level failure analysis and root-cause debugUtilize high-end lab equipment including oscilloscopes and phase-noise analyzersPlatform Scale & Technical InfluenceDevelop modular, reusable platforms supporting multiple product linesAct as a technical mentor and design reviewer across hardware teamsClearly communicate technical status, risks, and trade-offs to stakeholders

Required Qualifications

MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience7+ years of hands-on experience designing complex system hardware for high-volume productsProven delivery of hardware from concept through productionDeep expertise in board, package, socket, and manufacturing technologiesStrong SI/PI, high-speed digital, and mixed-signal design experienceProficiency with OrCAD, Allegro, ADS, HFSS, or equivalent toolsExperience working with ODM/OEM partners and external compliance labs

Compensation Range :

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.

The annual base salary range for this role is $164,800.00 – $226,600.00. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
