Service Sales Representative

Position Type/Hours:

Full-time position, in-office position. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.

Position Purpose:

The Service Salesperson is responsible for generating revenue within the service organization by proactively selling service offerings to new and existing customers. This role focuses on expanding the adoption of services such as spare parts, onsite service contracts, upgrades, training, and preventive maintenance programs. The Service Salesperson serves as a key connection between customers and the service team, ensuring that customer needs are identified, understood, and matched with the appropriate service solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:
  1. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  2. Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:
  1. Proactively identify and reach out to potential new customers via calls, emails, and in-person visits.
  2. Qualify leads through discovery calls, research, and initial interactions, assessing the potential fit for the company’s products and services.
  3. Schedule meetings, demonstrations, and product presentations with qualified leads.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Manage and nurture existing customer accounts, fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Manage Full Sales Cycle:
  • Oversee complex sales cycles, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
    • Reporting & CRM Management:
    1. Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities within the company’s CRM system.
    2. Provide regular reports on lead generation, sales pipeline, and customer feedback to management.
    • Customer Support & Problem Resolution:
    1. Serve as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution of issues.
    2. Address customer inquiries, provide follow-up as needed, and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10 years of industry related or sales experience, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial automation industry.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals.
    • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
    • Strong understanding of converting, packaging, and coating processes; familiarity with Delta ModTech's product portfolio is a plus.

    Position Type, Work Environment & Travel

    • Full time, exempt – 40 hours per week minimum
    • Normal office environment
    • Travel – Outside the local area and overnight. Some travel is international. Normally 10% to 20% and is variable based on needs but should not exceed 50%.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee occasionally is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time while attending tradeshows. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

    Salary Range:
    $80,000 - $100,000 per year (DOE - Depending on Experience)
