The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training, and at least two years of dealer-level or large facility experience. Holding a State Inspection License and certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is an absolute PLUS!…. But, if you need assistance, we’re here to help! An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a strong technical performance record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. Candidates must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world-class customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testingPerforms routine service inspections or tests and completes standard maintenance jobsRepairs automobiles and light trucks as assignedMaintains cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairsEnsures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standardsHelps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs efficiently by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functionsFollows all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rulesAttends all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as requiredPerforms other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED requiredPost-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experienceTwo years of dealer-level or large facility experience preferredASE certification (or is willing to obtain certification)Virginia State Inspection License (or is willing to obtain license)Broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledgeUnrestricted driver's license and clean driving recordAble to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehiclesExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stressHighly professional and dependableSafety and customer service-orientedBasic computer and internet skillsAble to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
