Job Description

About the Role

Veho is looking for a Senior Director of Marketing to increase the speed, output, and effectiveness of our marketing function. This person will build and run the systems that translate strategy into action, partnering closely with the VP of Marketing.

AI fluency is central to this role, not as a tool but as a lens for how work gets designed and scaled. We're looking for someone who has already started building that future in their own work and can bring the rest of the team along.

A great candidate:
  • Is a builder and an operator at their core, takes half-formed strategies and turns them into concrete plans with owners, timelines, and real follow-through
  • Uses AI fluently and creatively to drive marketing output; has built systems, not just used tools, and has a strong point of view on where AI creates genuine leverage
  • Has genuine marketing instincts, notices great marketing in the wild, pushes agencies and teammates toward better work, and doesn't settle for output that doesn't move people
  • Thrives in scrappy, fast-moving environments where they have to figure things out and make progress with limited resources

What You'll Do

Lead Agency Relationships
  • Serve as the day-to-day owner of Veho's agency relationships across
  • Hold agencies accountable to timelines, quality, and outcomes; escalate when needed without pulling VP into the weeds
Drive Operating Cadence & Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Own planning and prioritization once strategic direction is set, keep the team organized and executing against the right things
  • Keep key initiatives and launches moving with urgency and accountability across stakeholders
  • Build lightweight systems and processes that allow the function to scale without adding friction
Be a Strategic Partner to the VP of Marketing
  • Pressure-test priorities, develop briefs, and ensure the team is working on what matters most
  • Bring strong written communication skills to messaging, briefs, and internal materials
  • Represent marketing priorities credibly across the organization with minimal oversight
Build the AI-Powered Marketing Machine
  • Design and implement AI-powered workflows that meaningfully accelerate content production and campaign execution
  • Redesign marketing workflows around AI capabilities and drive adoption across the team
  • Build a content production system that turns ideas, conversations, and raw thinking into polished outputs across formats; research reports, customer stories, thought leadership, campaign briefs, and more
  • Raise AI fluency across the team as a genuine differentiator

What You Bring

Experience
  • 10+ years spanning marketing, strategy, growth, or operations in fast-moving environments
  • Hands-on, active use of AI tools in a professional marketing or strategy context, not just familiarity, but fluency
  • Experience working directly with or as a VP or CMO
  • Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred (Series B–D environments); examples include Brex, Rippling, Figma, Notion, HubSpot, Duolingo, or Clay
Skills
  • Builder: proven ability to take vague, ambitious ideas and produce a concrete plan with owners, timelines, and follow-through
  • AI executor: has built AI-powered systems and has a point of view on where AI drives real leverage vs. noise
  • Exceptional writer: drafts crisp, persuasive content across formats with minimal editing required
  • Cross-functional orchestrator: strong at translating strategy into coordinated action across multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Systems thinker: designs operating infrastructure that brings repeatability to fast-moving work
Leadership Traits
  • High agency: self-directed, proactive, biased toward action without needing constant guidance
  • Accountable: things don't fall through the cracks
  • Adaptable: comfortable operating across multiple marketing disciplines without being deeply specialized in just one
  • Operationally rigorous: brings precision, structure, and discipline to a function that can easily become chaotic

Compensation
$235,000-$255,000
The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as other benefits such as 401k and generous PTO for full-time roles.
