Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction operations or engineering within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements in Canada.
  • Proficiency in project management software and engineering design tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to construction sites across Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Lean Construction principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Canadian construction safety standards such as COR certification.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel, Power BI).
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction operations to ensure alignment with engineering designs and project schedules.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to review technical drawings, specifications, and project plans for feasibility and compliance.
  • Manage resource allocation including labor, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Analyze operational data and project metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project status, risks, and performance for senior management and clients.
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical and operational issues encountered during construction.
