About This Position
JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises and coordinates clerical support staff. Performs administrative duties to include staff assignments, technical assistance, employee evaluations, interviews ECT. Directs, orders and maintains administrative supply inventory. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. - Provides excellent customer support by providing the best service possible.
- Communicates relevant and pertinent information to the department and throughout the facility, to ensure optimal patient care, and that staff are aware of new initiatives and issues as they arise.
- Supervises departmental clerical activities, coordinates work schedules and ensures adequate clerical coverage.
- Performs all job duties with a focus on safety for the patient, self and co-workers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital/healthcare admin experience; 5+ years of experience preferred in the following areas:
- Medical Terminology
- Basic computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office Suite and Cerner
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written
