Job Title: Remote Field Service Technician - Kentucky

Department or Division: Service

Reports To: CS Medical Service Manager

The Remote Field Service Technician is a highly customer-focused role responsible for delivering exceptional on-site service for CS Medical equipment across the United States. This position requires 100% travel and serves as the primary face of the company to customers.

Success in this role depends on: delivering an outstanding on-site customer experience at every interaction, executing service work with urgency, professionalism, and technical excellence, along with completing all service documentation accurately, thoroughly, and in a timely manner.

This individual is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting field operations, and ensuring compliance with CS Medical quality standards.

Essential Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence

CS Medical strives to have best-in-class customer service, as a remote field service technician:

  • You will serve as the primary on-site representative of CS Medical, delivering a professional, responsive, and customer-first experience.
  • You will build strong relationships with hospital and clinical staff through clear communication, reliability, and technical expertise
  • You will respond to customer needs with care and understanding, ensuring minimal disruption to their operations

Installation, Service & Support

  • You will perform installation, validation, maintenance, and repair of customer-owned equipment across the U.S.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, and in-person visits
  • You will ensure all equipment is operating safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards

Documentation & Administrative Accuracy

In our goal to provide best-in-class service and as a medical device company highly regulated by the FDA:

  • You will complete all service documentation accurately and completely; including service reports, final acceptance testing, training competency/records, and performance checks.
  • You will ensure documentation is submitted same-day as the on-site visit
  • You will maintain organized and accurate records in the Service Department’s central systems

Inventory & Asset Accountability

  • You will maintain accurate inventory of company-owned tools, equipment, and spare parts
  • You will track and report usage, replenishment needs, and discrepancies

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • You will support service quality initiatives and customer satisfaction goals
  • You will provide valuable feedback from the field to improve products, service processes, and customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical or medical device service environment (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a customer-first mindset
  • High level of computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP systems)
  • Proven ability to manage documentation with speed and accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent
  • Experience working in hospital, clinical, or repair environments

Location

This position will be based out of your home with travel every week to multiple customer sites.

Terms of Employment

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.

Hours

The general hours shall be Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour break for lunch. Hours will vary significantly based on travel and customer needs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. Work is regularly performed in a combination of office, hospital operating room, central services, cleanroom, and warehouse environments.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and/or walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with arms or hands. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 110 pounds.

Travel

Requires approximately 100% travel.
