IN Production Manager at Beagle One Inc – Angola, Indiana

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production activities within the facility, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role supports the Director of Production by supervising production staff, coordinating workflow, and addressing day-to-day operational challenges on the production floor.

The Production Manager plays a key role in executing production plans, maintaining productivity, and ensuring deadlines are met. This position is hands-on, requiring active involvement in production processes, employee support, and problem-solving to keep operations running smoothly.

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedules.
• Act as a first-line resource for production employees, addressing questions, concerns, and workflow issues.
• Assign work to team members based on production priorities and employee skillsets.
• Monitor production output and communicate progress, delays, or issues to the Production Operations Manager.
• Ensure employees are properly trained on equipment, processes, and company systems (inventory scanning, time tracking, etc.).
• Support onboarding and hands-on training of new production employees.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards on the production floor.
• Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process to ensure standards are met.
• Assist in final quality inspections prior to jobs leaving the facility.
• Coordinate with install teams to ensure production timelines align with installation schedules.
• Review work orders, drawings, and job specifications to ensure accurate production execution.
• Identify production challenges and communicate improvement opportunities to leadership.
• Assist with inventory control by ensuring materials are properly used, tracked, and reported.
• Support inventory counts and help maintain accurate inventory records.
• Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance needs or issues promptly.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
• Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the production floor (5S practices).
• Promote a positive team environment focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.

• Must be comfortable with a computer, utilizing programs such as Microsoft and Smartsheet (willing to train on Smartsheet).
• Previous experience with SAGE would be helpful.
