As a CNC Machinist at Maritime Applied Physics Corporation, you will be integral to our manufacturing process, utilizing advanced CNC machinery to create precision components. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions across various sectors.
Salary Range
$25.00 - $36.00
Responsibilities
Set up and operate 3 and 4 axis Hurco CNC Mills to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Conduct regular maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers for precise measurements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to refine designs and improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety regulations.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Ability to read and interpret G code and make changes as needed
- Maintain dimensional accuracy to specified tolerances during machining process
Qualifications
- Proficient computer skills
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Proficiency in operating milling machines and CNC equipment, particularly Fanuc systems and Hurco.
- Familiarity with CAD software; SolidWorks experience is highly desirable.
- Minimum 2-3 years experience with Mastercam (2022 and up).
- Strong skills in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Experience with forklifts is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum of 5 years experience running/setting up CNC Mills.
- Experience with CNC Lathes
- Experience with manual lathes/bridge ports
- Basic GD&T knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic shop formulas, speeds and feeds, etc.
