JOB TITLE: Assembler

DEPARTMENT: Sign Assembly

REPORTS TO: General Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assembler will assemble illuminated and non-illuminated signs and prep non-fabricated items before painting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads blueprints, schematics, or drawings and utilizes such to assemble signage products according to specification.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains applicable logs, records, and reports concerning work products.
• Installs and wires various LED products.
• Preps non-fabricated items such as hogged-out letters and non-illuminated letters before painting.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Other tasks assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of advanced LED systems such as color changing and programmable patterns is helpful.
• Basic ability in mathematics and writing.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and components.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in soldering.
• Ability to lift or move up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift, regularly stand, walk, lift, and reach with hands and arms.
