About This Position

Description:

The Drafter is a member of a team dedicated to creating technical drawings and designs used for various structures and systems, with a specialization in the industrial food and beverage wastewater sector. Using AutoCAD and other software programs, the Drafter will develop a wide range of designs to meet the specific requirements of the clients' projects.

Key Responsibilities for the Drafter:

  • Create engineering layout drawings and sections/details based on guidance from Project Managers or Designers
  • Create project process flow drawings based on guidance from Project Managers or Designers
  • Assist in reviewing equipment cutsheets and submittals
  • Create construction revisions and as-built drawings based on guidance from Project Managers or Designers
  • Work closely with the engineering team to serve a wide variety of customers in the industrial wastewater sector
  • Support multiple projects with varying deliverable priorities and deadlines
  • Support the training and development of other Probst employees
  • Participate in and support the improvement of current drafting processes
  • Navigate 3D models and perform basic modifications (viewing, measuring, and making simple edits/updates) as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Travel Expectations: Travel is not anticipated, but may be required periodically

Requirements:
  • Work in a state-of-the-art, open-concept, collaborative environment located in Hartland, WI
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of recent experience using AutoCAD
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and manage competing demands
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

  • Previous recent experience using AutoDesk Plant 3D
  • Previous experience designing or working in wastewater facilities
