Who we are:

We are a dynamic engineering business working in the aerospace market specialising in maintenance tooling and ground support equipment. Our services include engineering, planned maintenance, repairs, upgrades, calibration, and testing. We operate workshop and field technicians supporting our customers at airlines, MROs, and engine/aircraft OEMs. Our global presence includes facilities across the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and The Middle East.

About the role:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team based at our Dallas facility. The successful candidate will primarily work from our Dallas facility but will also support our engineering teams across other locations from time to time. A varied role, work will mainly be mechanical but there will be elements of hydraulic, pneumatics and electrical aspects to consider.

Day to day tasks will consist of delivering planned maintenance and repairs to aircraft ground support equipment and tooling – with a mixture of onsite maintenance and workshop activities.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Delivering planned maintenance tasks to various types of aircraft equipment and tooling – example: engine stands, engine tooling, ground support equipment, steps, platforms, trailers, trolleys, tow bars, jacks.
  • Carrying out repairs to equipment as may be required, including troubleshooting problems.
  • Working on several projects at one time.
  • Reading engineering drawings and manuals to support fault-finding and identifying spare parts.
  • Working as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Surveying equipment to identify faults and generating reports via our online system.
  • Supporting work activities at other locations across the network as required from time to time.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure jobs are accepted, understood, implemented, and closed efficiently and accurately.

Education and Experience:

  • Trade school certification, bachelor’s degree from a related field is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of job training in a similar role and industry.
  • Ability to trouble shoot items such as manual and powered machinery, maintenance equipment and workshop/hanger tooling.
  • Ability to use and read manuals and blueprints

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Candidates must successfully pass a welding test prior to hire.
  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus). Ability to read and write English and follow verbal and written instructions in English. A clear understanding of simple math is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Clear technical competency and at least two years related experience
  • Formal engineering or similar related qualification.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Excellent planning and organizational ability with an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Experienced with IT, demonstrating ability in MS Office - including Email, Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good at communicating with people at all levels.
  • Travel between sites may be a requirement as needed.
  • Full clean driving record
  • Must have right to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to gain an airport pass if deemed necessary by management, therefore no criminal record.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Employees work under typical office conditions, and the noise level is usually quiet to moderate. Experience:

  • Preventive maintenance: 2 years (Required)
