Certified Pharmacy Technician- Pharmacy at Cookeville Regional Medical Center – Cookeville, Tennessee

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist(s) on duty, for pharmaceutical care of patients including all age groups (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics). This position is also responsible for coordinating Pharmacy Quality Improvement activities as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy or the Pharmacy Manager. This position uses knowledge and judgment to make decisions concerning the proper filling of drug orders subject to final approval by the pharmacist(s) on duty. Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required. PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification upon hire or within 1 year of employment or transfer to the department.
