Overview

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Walk a sustained security route
• Control ingress/egress of personnel at stations throughout the facility
• Establish documentation and to control access to the facility at the gates
• Conduct regular assigned patrols throughout the facility and offsite locations
• Ensures the personal safety of employees and visitors
• Monitors for suspicious activity and packages
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities. Maintain written logs as required
• Respond and collaborate with onsite and local municipal Police & Fire Safety personnel on all emergencies as needed
• Provide access control and escort services for all foreign persons visiting the facility that includes inspection and logging of all access transactions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED equivalent
• 3+ years police, related military, or security experience
• Ability to obtain a State of RI certification/license to carry a firearm as a condition of employment
• Must hold a valid driver's license issued by the state in which residing
• Must pass a medical examination and psychological evaluation
• Must be able to work under the following conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry, inside, outside, dusty, fumes and noise
• Will be required to stand for long periods of time
• Must be available to work all shifts and extended hours including weekends as business needs dictate
• Must obtain and maintain a secret level clearance through the department of defense
• Must be capable of understanding and interpreting all instructions and company policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous leadership experience
