Security Officer (per diem) at HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. – Fall River, Massachusetts

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.

Security Officer Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring that the health center is a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff; patrol health center to ensure that no potential threats to the safety of the patients and staff exist; investigate incidents/crimes and handle appropriately including related paperwork; walk staff members to their cars in the evening or upon request; and lock all doors, secure supply storage area, turn off lights, check windows and sets alarm every evening.

Required Qualifications

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in law enforcement or security.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3. Duties require crisis prevention, conflict resolution, and familiarity with Massachusetts General Laws regarding health care safety and security. Knowledge of health care environment a plus. Experience in health care security operations preferred.
4. Must submit a CORI Release Form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
5. Strong computer knowledge. Working knowledge of building alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
