About the role

Luma is seeking a dynamic Insurance Carrier Sales and Relationship Manager to lead and expand our partnerships with insurance carriers. This role is critical in driving strategic growth by fostering strong carrier relationships, optimizing product offerings, and enhancing the overall annuity experience on Luma’s platform. The ideal candidate will have deep industry expertise in annuities and life insurance, strong sales acumen, and a proven ability to manage and grow relationships with top-tier insurance carriers.

What you'll do


Carrier Relationship Management & Sales Growth

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, ensuring optimal engagement and collaboration.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for carriers, negotiating terms, securing new partnerships, and expanding existing ones.
  • Drive carrier participation in Luma’s annuity and structured products platform, aligning offerings with market needs.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless onboarding, integration, and ongoing support for carriers.

Strategic Business Development

  • Identify new carrier opportunities to enhance Luma’s product suite and increase platform adoption.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to refine Luma’s carrier engagement strategy.
  • Partner with internal teams to align technology, sales, and marketing strategies with carrier expectations.

Product & Market Expertise

  • Stay current with annuity product trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Provide feedback to product and technology teams to enhance the platform’s capabilities based on carrier needs.
  • Represent Luma at industry events, conferences, and carrier meetings to strengthen market presence.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or relationship management within the insurance or annuity industry.
  • Strong understanding of annuity products, distribution channels, and carrier operations.
  • Proven track record of securing and growing insurance carrier partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced fintech environment.
