Certified Pharmacy Technician III at Medical Center Hospital – Odessa, Texas

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician provides exceptional care of patients by assisting the Pharmacist in the safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medications and the maintenance of pharmacy inventory.

Qualifications:

A. Department Need Assessment:

1. Before applying for Certified Pharmacy technician III, Technician Supervisor and Operations Manager will determine need for additional chemotherapy-certified technicians

B. Education:

1. Current registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.

2. Must achieve and maintain USP-797 and USP 800 approved Sterile Compounding Certification and Chemotherapy Certifications.
