CLINICAL APPLICATIONS ANALYST

Job Summary

The Clinical Applications Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of clinical and business applications, including Infor CloudSuite, Epic, and other critical systems. This role serves as a liaison between clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders, ensuring technology aligns with hospital workflows, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives. The analyst will also support IT contract tracking and procurement processes, and will play a key role in documentation, process improvement, and end-user support.

Essential Functions

  • Configure, test, deploy, and maintain Infor CloudSuite, Epic, and other assigned applications.
  • Work with clinical and operational departments to analyze workflows, gather requirements, and implement effective IT solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, workflows, support procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide tiered support, including issue resolution, root cause analysis, and vendor coordination.
  • Coordinate and monitor application upgrades, patches, and integration points.
  • Support development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data extracts.
  • Participate in the review and routing of IT contracts and purchases, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve security, data integrity, reporting, and user efficiency.
  • Provide training and assist end-users in maximizing the functionality of clinical and business systems.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and follow up on outstanding tickets and development requests.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and professionalism across departments.
  • Adhere to hospital compliance standards, including the Code of Conduct and regulatory laws.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications
    • Infor CloudSuite training required within six (6) months of hire.
    • Epic proficiency or certification preferred (or must be obtained within an approved timeframe).
    • Meditech experience and/or certification preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2–5 years of experience supporting EMR/EHR and ERP systems (e.g., Infor, Epic, Meditech, Lawson).
    • Experience in healthcare IT environments and working directly with clinical or operational users.
    • Strong experience in analyzing workflows, managing system changes, and supporting technology-driven improvements.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and bring order to complex or ambiguous problems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in using integrated clinical and financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
