About the Role: Hillside Nurses are invaluable to our overall mission of our company and your nurse autonomy is highly appreciated and respected!

The Nursing position at Hillside Terrace Senior Living is pivotal in delivering high-quality resident care and ensuring the well-being of all individuals in our facility. Nurses will be responsible for assessing resident needs, ensure service/care plans are implemented through appropriate interventions to promote health and true quality of living. This role requires effective communication with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care the "Hillside way". Additionally, nurses will monitor resident progress and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring that all medical protocols and safety standards are adhered to. Ultimately, the goal of this position is to enhance the quality of life for our residents through compassionate and skilled nursing care. Our Hillside Nurses are on shift as the supervising "floor nurse": 1 nurse per shift manages and administers all resident medications that are on a medication plan service, administer all minor treatments as physician ordered and overseen by our inhouse homecare team, supervise the RCAS to ensure they complete their tasks, oversees residents safety and overall wellbeing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid nursing license in the state of Michigan or pending successful passing/verification of LPN NCLEX
  • Licensed Practical Nurse certification or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • MUST have the stamina to stand and walk throughout your shift
  • MUST be able to balance time management in your daily tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LPN.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a Senior Assisted Living, long-term care.
  • Advanced certifications in specialized nursing fields: Senior Living or Memory Care experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status and needs on a prn basis.
  • implement individualized resident Service Plans (care plans) in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document residents' progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Educate residents and their families about acute and chronic health and disease management.
  • Supervision of RCAS on shift.

Skills:

The required skills for this nursing position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for identifying resident needs and implementing carrying out effective service/ care plans. Excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with residents and their families, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Time management and organizational skills ARE CRUCIAL to be utilized daily to prioritize tasks and ensure that all resident care responsibilities are met efficiently the "Hillside way". Additionally, critical thinking skills are necessary for evaluating resident responses to treatment and making informed decisions regarding care adjustments. Preferred skills, such as advanced clinical knowledge, will enhance the nurse's ability to provide specialized care and improve residents quality of living outcomes.


This is a FULL TIME DAY SHIFT position! 32 hours per week up to forty hours based on needs of the nurses scheduling team.
