CHMC – Environmental Service Worker – Part Time- Day Shift– Requisition 8946

Pay Range: $17.77-$23.06*

Job Summary:

As an Environmental Services Worker, you'll be essential in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. You'll perform various environmental service duties, including ensuring departments are stocked with toiletries in restrooms and providing and distributing clean linen supplies, all in accordance with established standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Related experience preferred.

• Valid NY State Driver’s license required.

• Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

• Ability to adapt to routine, repetitive manual tasks.

• Manual dexterity and motor coordination to operate equipment.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment.

• Work is of medium demand, with routine lifting requirements of less than 50 pounds.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking (most of the shift), pushing, pulling, lifting, stooping, reaching, and climbing.

• Ability to work inside, with a risk of exposure to communicable diseases, chemicals, and hazardous waste.

• On-the-job training provided.
