About This Position

Assists in the maintenance of the ball field complex and landscaping surrounding the Charlotte Sports Park.

Responsibilities

  • Groundskeeper is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the Charlotte Sports Park ball fields and landscaping.
  • Work with the foreman to ensure all field conditions are up to MLB standards.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all fellow crew members.
  • Maintenance includes mowing, edging, string trimming, clay work, game prep and working games.
  • All other duties assigned by Charlotte Sports Park Foreman and Director of Field Operations.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
  • Must be able to lift items (50 lbs.) and carry cargo
  • Ability to operate turf related equipment (i.e., tractors, mowers, edgers, aerifiers, paint machine)
