HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients by assessing, facilitating, and monitoring all components of medical services. You will support compliance with State Licensing and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) requirements while contributing to ongoing program improvement as medical standards and best practices evolve.

You understand the importance of confidentiality, compliance, and clear communication, and you’re comfortable balancing structure with flexibility in a fast-paced setting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • High School Diploma/GED

AND

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN); Certified Medical Office (CMO); or related medical field certification (e.g., phlebotomy, pharmacy etc..), WITH 1 (one) to 2 (two) years of experience in a health care setting with pediatric/adolescence population preferred.

OR

  • Associate/bachelor's degree in any related health - Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in a hospital, clinic, medical record department or physician’s office. (Including any volunteer or internship experience)
  • Bilingual. (Spanish/English). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical reports and legal documents.
  • Cleared Tuberculosis test results.
  • Immunization documentation: Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Td/Tdap), Varicella, Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), Hepatitis A and B and COVID-19
  • Cleared background check from appropriate entity.
  • Cleared drug test results (for Texas programs only).
  • Comply with annual training requirements/licensure/certifications.
  • Valid Drivers’ License.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be on-call evenings and weekends.
  • Medical Specialty - Pediatrics
  • Fluent in Spanish (Required)
  • Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
  • Driver's License in good standing meeting company policy for insurability (Required)
