Empower Behavioral Health is looking for an experienced BCBA who is ready to take the next step in their clinical leadership career.

As an Assistant Clinical Director, youll partner with the Clinical Director to support clinical quality, mentor and develop BCBAs, provide guidance on complex cases, and help lead the clinical team while continuing to make a direct impact with patients and families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Clinical Director to maintain high standards of clinical quality across the clinic
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and clinical support to BCBAs
• Conduct BCBA observations, treatment plan reviews, BIP reviews, and other clinical quality checks
• Collaborate with BCBAs on complex cases, including severe or challenging behaviors
• Support treatment integrity, data collection procedures, programming, caregiver training, and transition/discharge planning
• Assist with behavior support needs throughout the clinic
• Support coordination of care, peer reviews, and insurance appeals as needed
• Maintain strong relationships and communication with patients and caregivers
• Support onboarding and ongoing clinical training for new and existing BCBAs
• Coordinate ongoing clinical training opportunities for RBTs and BCBAs, including staff meetings, competency assessments, and other clinic-based trainings
• Support new-hire technician training, including oversight of Qualified Trainers and completion of initial RBT competency assessments
• Support safety and physical-management training and ensure required training documentation is maintained
• Support the development and supervision of clinical-track RBTs and Case Managers, including mentorship, case oversight, and performance support as needed
• Help identify opportunities for continued clinical development across the team
• Partner with clinic leadership to address clinical performance and training needs
• Assist with potential patient clinic visits and the new patient intake process, including assessments, required documentation, and patient/family communication
• Maintain and support required clinical quality and patient outcome tracking
• Maintain an assigned clinical caseload, including assessments, treatment planning, ongoing programming, data review, and clinical documentation
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention plans as clinically appropriate
• Develop and oversee data collection systems and monitor patient progress toward treatment goals
• Provide ongoing parent and caregiver training
• Develop and oversee transition and discharge plans
• Evaluate and support risk and crisis management needs
• Provide behavioral support for patients within an interdisciplinary treatment setting
• Meet regularly with the Clinical Director to review clinical updates, patient needs, and BCBA team performance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Caseload Expectation: The Assistant Clinical Director maintains an assigned caseload of approximately 4 full-time equivalent patients with a 24-hour weekly billable expectation while also supporting clinical leadership responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• Masters degree in behavior analysis or related field
• Certified as a BCBA with the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board) & Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Texas
• Minimum of 3 years working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities
• Minimum of 1 year working as a BCBA
• Knowledge of Catalyst or Central Reach data collection platform and Excel graphing preferred
• Strong technical writing skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Experience presenting to small and large groups of parents/caregivers, teachers, and other professionals

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move or transport up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to run or walk throughout 68-hour sessions (i.e., patient eloping)
• Must be able to respond quickly to manage behaviors (i.e., block aggression, move furniture)
• Must be able to be seated on the floor when needed for patient
• Must be able to transition from seated on the floor to standing quickly to respond to aggression/severe behavior
• Must be able to bend or twist to utilize physical management
• Must be able to safely implement QBS Safety Care procedures for aggressive patients for extended periods of time when needed
