What We Need
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Coordinator with strong communication and time management skills to join our People Team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in employee benefits administration, labor law compliance, and HR best practices, while thriving in a fast-paced environment and delivering accurate, people-first support across HR operations.
What You’ll Do
- Be the first point of contact for HR-related requests, including answering or guiding employees to the appropriate department.
- Manage all employee benefit programs in collaboration with our insurance partners, including enrollments, changes, and terminations for medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and COBRA coverage.
- Support the planning, execution, and communication of annual Open Enrollment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefit records and documentation in HRIS systems.
- Respond promptly and accurately to income and employment verification requests from third-party vendors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all verification responses adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with audits, including 401(k), benefits, payroll, and other HR compliance audits.
- Gather, prepare, and organize documentation to ensure year-round audit readiness.
- Track and support compliance with federal and state leave programs such as FMLA and applicable state leaves.
- Coordinate leave balances and collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate pay and benefits continuation.
- Serve as a central operational partner for high-volume, compliance-sensitive HR workflows.
- Continuously improve HR operational processes, documentation, and turnaround times. Support HR with reporting, process documentation, and HRIS system optimization as needed.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in HR, benefits administration, or HR operations.
- Experience working with HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll coordination.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Proven time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Discretion and comfort handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong sense of urgency in escalating critical issues.
