Security Guard in Odessa, Texas at Medical Center Hospital

Position Summary:

Under direct/indirect supervision, provide a safe and secure environment, both internally and externally, throughout properties of the Ector County Hospital District. Perform routine standards as set forth in the Department Policies and Procedures Manual.

Qualifications:

A. Education:

High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Be able to follow written and oral instructions. Texas Peace Officer Commission or Security Training preferred. Valid Texas Class C driver’s license required. Must be 21 years of age or older.

B. Training and Experience:

Must be able to use personal computer, typewriter, two-way radio, and telephone. Must be able to qualify for Texas Motor Vehicle Insurance. Must purchase and wear complete Security Officer Uniform.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must have visual, auditory and olfactory acuity. Requires lots of standing, walking and climbing. Must be able to work under stressful conditions with varying work hours and shifts.
