Moxie Senior Account Executives lead high-impact media relations and contribute to strategy development across multiple clients. The SAE will be a go-to team player who combines a sharp editorial mindset with a proactive, creative approach to pitching. The role blends hands-on media outreach with internal mentorship and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for a strong communicator with a proven track record of delivering results and elevating junior talent.
This position is based in either Moxie’s NY office (SoHo, Manhattan) or LA office (Culver City), where team members work in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead proactive media outreach across multiple accounts and consistently secure high-quality media coverage
- Own and deepen media relationships, with regular contact and outreach to key journalists and outlets
- Vet inbound media requests and staff interviews and briefings as needed
- Contribute to client strategy by generating pitch angles, identifying media opportunities, and aligning messaging with trends and cultural moments
- Serve as a key contributor during weekly client calls, providing timely updates on outreach and suggesting pivot strategies where needed
- Work with junior team to drive speaking programs and awards forward, assessing opportunities, providing recommendations and drafting submissions.
- Draft and edit key materials including pitches, press releases, briefing docs, and messaging frameworks
- Oversee and maintain master media lists, ensuring consistent outreach to top targets
- Mentor and support junior team members on media outreach, writing, and Moxie best practices
- Review internal documents such as media lists, agendas, and action items
- Collaborate with teams across media relations, partnerships, affiliate, and influencer to support integrated storytelling
- Participate in internal knowledge sharing and media trend spotting
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of public relations experience, ideally on consumer brands and/or B2B / tech clients
- Strong media relationships with relevant reporters, editors, and producers
- Demonstrated success securing coverage across business, consumer and/or trade press
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for various media verticals
- A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in mentoring junior team members
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven with the ability to stay organized and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to balance media execution with strategic input and client communication
- Experience working across multiple accounts and industries simultaneously is a plus
- Experience with affiliate marketing and influencers is a plus, but not required

Compensation:
The expected salary range for this role is $70,000 - $78,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
