About This Position
General Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst is primarily focused on Cost Accounting and Manufacturing Finance. Is responsible for the on-going analysis of a hybrid standard/actual cost system. Manufacturing Finance provides detailed cost information, analysis and insight to management for strategic decision making. The Financial Analyst must be able to prioritize and work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. They must have the ability to work in a team environment with various departments and diverse personalities.
Specific Duties:
- Work cross-functionally to prepare detailed cost estimates for new and existing products. Analyze changes in product design, sourcing and manufacturing methods to determine cost impact.
- Facilitate Cost Review Meetings. Clearly and concisely explain cost estimates, costing assumptions and primary cost drivers.
- Prepare and monitor financial and operational key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing the root cause of unexpected variances.
- Develop strong understanding of Syteline functionality and business processes. Validate SyteLine transaction accuracy to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work with key business leaders to identify and support opportunities as well as implement projects to improve profitability through cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and return on investments.
- Provide robust variance analytics and decision support to the business partners.
- Review, assess, and when necessary, enhance internal controls to ensure they are adequate
- Participate in month-end closing activities. Tasks include preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial and operational reporting, as well, as Product line income statements.
- Support the Annual STD Cost Update process
- Participate in annual external audit support
- Prepare analysis supporting Make vs. Buy decisions
- Other accounting or financial tasks as required by the CFO, Controller or Manufacturing Finance Manager
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent other.
- 5-7 years’ working experience in accounting required and manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrates initiative, accountability, discernment, collaboration and team orientation.
- Strong ability to analyze, explain and present complex topics in a simple manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, & Power Point) required. Power BI a plus.
- Experience working within ERP Manufacturing environment
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 annual base salary based experience
