About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and ensure alignment across functions and execution of priorities as we continue to grow. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for integrating all business functions, strengthening our leadership team, and ensuring consistent execution of agreed business priorities.
You will play a critical role in scaling operations, improving efficiency, and supporting cross-border expansion initiatives, while fostering a high-performing and accountable culture.
This role is designed to expand the company’s management capacity at this key stage of growth. The General Manager will ensure the business runs effectively on a day-to-day basis and contributes operational insight while enabling senior leadership to focus on strategic initiatives and special projects.
Success in this role means strong operational management, sound operational judgment, and ability to authentically lead and bring teams together to achieve shared objectives.
A Day in the Life:
Lead and coordinate daily operations across manufacturing, sales, marketing, finance, and customer service, ensuring alignment with company priorities, performance expectations, and core values
Coach, mentor, and develop functional leaders, including setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and building a cohesive, high-performing leadership team
Support and coordinate the annual and quarterly planning processes, ensuring alignment across functions and clarity on priorities, metrics, and timelines
Evaluate and improve core business processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational consistency
Ensure alignment between sales forecasts, production capacity, and supply chain capabilities to meet customer commitments effectively
Collaborate with U.S. operations and partners to align production, inventory, logistics, and customer delivery expectations
Implement and monitor KPIs to create visibility into results and support leaders in driving performance and addressing gaps
Strengthen management structure, identify capability and process gaps, and support hiring and development to enable sustainable growth
Facilitate effective leadership meetings, remove roadblocks, and maintain momentum on key initiatives
Maintain a high level of visibility across the organization to proactively identify challenges and opportunities
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Proven experience in a General Manager, Director of Operations, or senior leadership role with full P&L or multi-functional oversight
Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or building materials environments
Demonstrated success in leading and scaling multi-department operations in a growth-oriented organization, including developing high-performing leadership teams, with a focus on accountability
Experience with cross-functional integration, including aligning sales, operations, and supply chain to meet customer expectations
Deep experience in operational execution and efficiency, business planning, process improvement, and performance management, including setting and tracking KPIs
Experience executing against defined business priorities and delivering measurable results
Strong financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
Demonstrated ability to navigate complexity, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence at all levels
Experience managing or supporting cross-border operations (Canada/U.S.) is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Canadian and U.S. regulatory, labor, and operational environments is an asset
Bonus Points:
Experience implementing or operating within a business operating system (e.g. EOS, Lean, or similar frameworks)
Experience in process mapping or streamlining, especially in scaling business
Experience with ERP systems (implementation or optimization across functions)
Certifications or formal training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
