Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant certification program preferred.
- At least one year of experience in a clinical or research healthcare setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data entry systems.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Experience working in a clinical research environment or with clinical trials.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with research data management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of clinical research protocols, including patient recruitment and screening.
- Collect and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant clinical data accurately and timely.
- Prepare and process biological specimens according to study guidelines and ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Maintain detailed and organized research records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and institutional policies.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and follow-up visits to support study timelines and participant retention.
- Collaborate with research staff to ensure adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of research equipment and supplies.
- Provide patient education regarding study procedures and answer participant questions under supervision.
- Support data entry and quality control activities to ensure data integrity for research analysis.
