GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Production Support Team Lead is a highly skilled fulfillment professional who combines deep operational expertise with strong leadership capability. This role oversees workflow execution across multiple warehouse functions, including picking, box building, palletizing, and quality assurance while serving as an on the floor resource for training, guidance, and problem resolution.
The Product Support Team Lead demonstrates expert understanding of production processes, product handling, quality standards, and inventory movement. They provide real time direction to the team, monitor productivity, and proactively adjust labor or task assignments to maintain throughput, accuracy, and safety. This role requires strong situational awareness, the ability to identify operational bottlenecks, and the confidence to make quick decisions that keep work flowing efficiently.
Beyond daily task execution, the Team Lead collaborates closely with Operations leadership to communicate status updates, escalate issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Product Support Team Lead also models best practices, coaches new and existing employees, and ensures consistent adherence to SOPs, safety policies, and quality guidelines. Acting as a bridge between frontline associates and Operations, this position helps drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- People-Placement Pro: Make sure everyone is in the right spot and ready to crush the workflow.
- Lead the Squad: Guide your team through the flow; picking, labeling, and shipping like a well-oiled machine.
- Coach & Connect: Give real-time feedback, spark motivation, and keep communication flowing with both your team and Operations Managers.
- Efficiency Eye: Keep tabs on product needs, daily priorities, and team performance to keep everything running smoothly.
- Move It Like a Pro: Safely transport product from inventory to build areas/assembly lines.
- Time Management Master: Keep things moving efficiently and effectively.
- Motivator-in-Chief: Lead with energy, positivity, and a can-do attitude that inspires your crew.
- Hospital (problematic inventory)- research problematic inventory that is missing/wrong items, works with ICQA to fix issues. Knowledge of locations and systems required to perform this function.
- Waving/flow lead- use the computer system to check orders, run a wave/push orders to be fulfilled.
- Quality Crusader (VAS/Value Added Service): Jump into improvement projects and help us level up how we do things. This includes performing customer-specific services at special handling stations. Tasks vary by client (e.g., hand-rolling bottles in tissue, custom box builds, wax dipping).
- Organize Everything: Keep products in their place for smooth operations and speedy transfers.
- Quality Checker: Inspect outgoing shipments to make sure they meet our high standards and SLAs.
- Clean & Safe: Maintain a tidy, safe workspace and champion quality improvements.
- Hands-On Hero: Jump in to help with packaging, labeling, stacking, and palletizing when needed.
- Show up and shine- be reliably present and punctual, keeping things on track and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
- Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
- 3–5 years of warehouse pick/pack or distribution experience, including performance in high-volume environments.
- Prior leadership in a pick/pack, e-commerce, or 3PL environment.
- Prior experience working cross-functionally with inventory, shipping, or quality teams.
- Demonstrated success meeting productivity, accuracy, and safety targets.
- Prior experience training, coaching, or mentoring warehouse staff.
- Familiarity with multiple warehouse functions (picking, packing, replenishment, receiving, shipping).
- Experience delegating tasks, prioritizing workflow, and balancing labor to meet operational demands.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and assist with onboarding and skill development.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
- Skilled in quality checks, auditing completed orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ability to operate relevant warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, carts, conveyors; forklift certification a plus).
- Proven ability to model safe behavior and enforce safety policies consistently.
- Experience conducting safety checks, reporting hazards, and guiding team compliance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting.
- Occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- Occasional loud noise.
- Occasional varying environmental temperature changes.
