Job Description

MISSION: Warren Village is a Colorado non-profit serving unhoused and unstably housed low-income single-parent families in the Denver area. Our two-generation approach provides opportunities and comprehensive resources to empower families to change their life trajectories. This holistic approach includes three main components around safe and affordable housing, parent services and advocacy, and early childhood education.

CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY: Warren Village is looking for a part-time mental health clinical contractor (bilingual in English and Spanish preferred) to work with Warren Village staff to ensure effective trauma-informed supports and therapy for residents. We anticipate the work focused in key areas of psychoeducation, parent coaching, therapeutic groups, and individual therapy. Schedule will vary with the majority of the week being done onsite in person during the day and some evenings and weekend. Hours through 3/31/26 are anticipated to be 13 hours a week, with the potential of contract extension.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DELIVERABLES:

  • Implement strengths-focused, family-centered, culturally competent, mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families to promote healthy development, resilience and coping skills.
  • Create and promote a trauma-informed environment of wellbeing that engages and empowers youth and their caregivers to create and support healthy relationships and reach their goals.
  • Provide therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families served. This may include play therapy, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy for youth and their caregivers.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation curriculum to increase understanding of human development, impacts of trauma, and tools necessary for healthy individuals and caregiving
  • Provide crisis intervention for children, adolescents, adults and families.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing a trauma-informed care focus and culturally sensitive practices. Provide ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress on a regular basis.
  • Provide training, consultation, and support to Kids' Club staff for greater youth success and/or behavioral intervention support.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Master's degree (MA) or equivalent, in Social Work, Counseling, or another mental health discipline.
  2. Two years minimum experience working in mental health field with children, youth and families.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  1. Clinical license from Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
  2. Bilingual Spanish

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong integrity, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold professional boundaries in all interactions, regardless of personal or emotional dynamics
  • Demonstrated teaching and presentation skills with ability to speak and communicate effectively.

CONTRACT HOURLY RATE: $40/hour

CONTRACT RELATIONSHIP: Position is an independent contractor, and not intended to create a partnership, agency, joint venture or employment relationship. The Contractor is not entitled to any employee benefits and reserves the right to do similar contract work for other businesses or organizations. Contractor is responsible for all tax-related items and will receive an annual Form 1099-NEC, as the Organization will not withhold and social security, federal, state, or any other employee payroll taxes.
