Job Title: Mental Health Counselor (LPC or LCSW) - (Contractor)
Reports to: Senior Director of Homelessness Programs
Locations: Denver
Compensation: $7,500 per month (Contract)
Timeline: Grant through 12/31/2026, recurring funding applications completed every year
Colorado Village Collaborative exists to bridge the gap between the streets and stable housing. We create, operate, and advocate for transformational housing communities in partnership with people experiencing homelessness. We currently operate two Tiny Home Villages and three Safe Outdoor Spaces for people experiencing homelessness in Denver.
Colorado Village Collaborative is seeking a Mental Health Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to fill a contract position located in Denver. This person needs to be a strong group and individual therapist, demonstrate insight and understanding with the unhoused population both literal and chronic, be able to shift between intervention models in order to meet the needs of each client(s), be detail-oriented, and possess strong skills for follow-up.
This will be a contractor position with a period lasting until the end of 2026 and does not come with benefits.
Potential for contract extension.
Pay: $7,500/ per month
Scope of Work:
- Provide group and individual therapy to unhoused population
- Facilitate individual and group process
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral interventions as needed for participants
- Responsible for treatment, collateral contacts, behavioral contracts, and treatment planning and client record management for an assigned caseload
- Maintain awareness, understanding, and compliance with all policies/procedures, memos, emergent issues/needs, and behavioral and safety plans or special monitoring
- Address any emergent issues, including documentation, treatment plan revisions, etc.
- Accurate and thorough discharge planning to promote the continuity of appropriate care
Internal Evaluation Metrics:
Benchmarks will be set in conjunction with the Program Directors
Manage case notes
Comply with confidentiality statutes and regulations including to HIPAA
Maintain record keeping related to grant funding requirements
Collect data and measure project outcomes

Requirements:Qualifications and Skills Needed:
- LCSW or LPC preferred, will consider working towards licensure
- CAC and Psychotherapist will be considered
- Must be registered with DORA
- Professional liability insurance
- Experience with unhoused population preferred
- Primary mental health experience preferred
- Must possess a valid drivers license and have a reliable form of transportation
- A willingness to engage in continuous learning about anti-oppression and social justice issues
- Passion for advancing solutions to homelessness
- Ability to work independently
