Talent Acquisition Specialist – 6-Month Contract
LOCATION: CMO Ottawa, Hybrid
TYPE: Non-Unionized, Full-Time, Term

Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning “looking out from the highest point”) operates and maintains two contracts; the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada & Canadian Forces Station (CFS) Alert, located in the Canadian Arctic. Our highly skilled workforce ensures the seamless operation of critical operations for the Department of National Defense (DND), ranging from facilities maintenance to logistical support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, collaborating with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure timely hiring outcomes.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies through job boards, LinkedIn, and networking to attract top talent.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline to meet current and future organizational needs.
- Provide a seamless candidate experience through professional communications, timely updates, and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Utilize tools like LinkedIn Recruiter and ADP Workforce Now to manage the Applicant Tracking System and maintain recruitment data integrity.
CREDENTIALS: Post-secondary education in HR or a related field
EXPERIENCE: 3 - 5 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, including proactive candidate sourcing.
SKILLS:
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices and applicable employment legislation.
- Strong proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruitment platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills and proven ability to engage diverse candidate pools.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Self-motivated and adaptable with a demonstrated commitment to providing a positive hiring experience.
