Location: HQ-based, Hybrid Schedule
Salary: $100,000.00
Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Corporate Relations will play a critical role in driving enterprise revenue growth for the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), with a particular emphasis on securing educational grant funding to support AANS's mission to advance patient care and foster scientific discovery. The individual will be responsible for cultivating relationships with corporate partners, securing sponsorships and identifying new opportunities for grant funding to fuel AANS's educational initiatives and strategic goals. Additionally, the Senior Manager will manage the AANS Allied Council to support collaboration and engagement within the neurosurgical community, ensuring that the council's initiatives align with AANS's strategic objectives and drive value for its members and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to drive corporate sponsorship and partnership opportunities across the AANS enterprise, focusing on increasing revenue through educational grants, corporate sponsorships, and other funding opportunities.
- Identify, cultivate, and secure long-term relationships with new and existing corporate partners to support AANS's mission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling sponsorship packages and grant proposals that align with partner interests and AANS's goals.
Educational Grant Funding
- Lead efforts to increase educational grant funding, identifying key opportunities for growth through partnerships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies.
- Research and secure educational grants from corporations, foundations, and other sources to support AANS's educational programming, including live courses, virtual events and webinars.
- Manage the grant proposal development process, ensuring alignment with partner priorities, compliance with industry standards and timely submission.
AANS Allied Council Management
- Manage the AANS Allied Council, ensuring the council's goals are aligned with AANS's strategic objectives.
- Foster collaboration within the council and facilitate its engagement with corporate partners to expand funding opportunities.
- Develop strategies to maximize the council's role in supporting the broader neurosurgical community, coordinating events and initiatives that drive council engagement.
Partnership Management
- Maintain strong relationships with current sponsors, ensuring fulfillment of sponsorship agreements and exploring opportunities for additional engagement.
- Track and report on partnership activities, revenue projections and grant funding performance.
Collaboration and Coordination
- Work closely with AANS leadership, the marketing and events teams, and educational programming staff to align corporate funding opportunities with AANS's strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value to corporate partners while ensuring adherence to AANS's mission and standards.
Reporting and Analysis
- Provide regular reporting on corporate relations activities, educational grant funding status, and revenue growth projections.
- Analyze trends in the health care and neurosurgery industries to identify new revenue and partnership opportunities.
- Develop metrics to measure the success of corporate engagement efforts and continuously optimize strategies based on data insights.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or fundraising, with a focus on securing educational grants.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through successful corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
- Experience in the health care, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry is highly preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate partners.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in revenue forecasting and reporting.
