Overview

The Junior Business Development Specialist supporting the Montech Inc. Headquarters (HQ) office and will perform a variety of Business Development support including external outreach/engagement opportunities, technical writing, response to Sources Sought, Request for Proposals, and Solicitations, and other Business Development activities. This position will also engage in a wide range of tasks related to the overall office administration and tasks directly supporting business development and operations.

Place of Performance

The Junior Business Development Specialist will perform all duties onsite at the Montech Inc. headquarters office located at 2109 Air Park Rd SE, Suite 110, Albuquerque, NM (near Albuquerque Sunport).

Hours of Operation

The Junior Business Development Specialist will perform part time work (16-20 hours per week) Monday – Friday during the core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for U.S. National Federal Holidays. Montech will provide flexible schedule.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Junior Business Development Specialist will work collaboratively with the business development team members in a fast-paced team environment. The core general responsibilities for Junior Business Development Specialist include:

· Carry out Business Development research using Federal search tools.

· Review requirements for Request for Proposal/Quote (RFP/RFQ).

· Assist Business Development team in compiling Technical Proposals.

· Prepare reports, create binders and spec sheets (scan, copy, file documents).

· Develop presentations and brief process updates.

· Assist with correspondence (emails, mailings, letters, documents) relating to business development.

· Support specific programs of Montech (tasks vary depending on program requirements).

· Maintain knowledge of the goals, priorities, policies and commitments of the supervisor.

· Schedule and monitor meetings, events, and calendars for office.

· Provide general office administrative support (answer telephones, respond to emails, and greet visitors).

· Assist with office supply inventory, complete errands, make approved purchases, pick-ups/drop-offs.

· Communicate with internal/external personnel, partners, customers, and colleagues.

Qualifications

The Junior Business Development Specialist shall possess (or be actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business or business-related field). Tradeoff is accepted for relevant years of experience. Candidate must also have the following skills and experience:

· Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

· High proficiency with Outlook email, MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe (e.g., Table of Contents, formatting documents and quality control, building tables/figures).

· Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

· Technical writing skills, including research, editing, and proofreading.

· Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills to meet customer needs and deadlines.

The Junior Business Development Specialist should demonstrate the following abilities: sound judgement, foresight, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, possess excellent oral and written communications, customer service skills, able to adapt to fast-paced work/office environment with accuracy under pressure, demonstrated competency managing schedules, documentation and automated systems, excellent skills in developing presentations and briefings, demonstrate leadership, excellent research and data gathering skills, ability to interpret/analyze complex information, ability to work independently within the bounds and guidelines of the work requirements, knowledge of and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work and communicate with diverse group of customers and clients.

Travel Reimbursement

Any travel required for the position is reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR). Approval is required by the Montech President prior to travel.

Security

Must be willing to pass pre-employment drug test and background investigation. Personnel shall be responsible for safeguarding all Montech Inc. property provided for work purposes. At the end of normal duty hours and/or after normal duty hours, all facilities, equipment, and materials must be secured. At the request of the Montech Inc., or at completion of this effort, the Junior Business Development Specialist shall immediately return any Montech-provided property, including any equipment, specialized or off-the-shelf software, and all other property provided by the Montech, Inc.

Professionalism, Responsiveness, and Quality

The Junior Business Development Specialist shall be professional in demeanor, responsiveness, appearance, deportment and must be able to treat all persons with courtesy and respect. The Junior Business Development Specialist will be required to interface with internal and external colleagues and partners in a supporting role to the Montech Inc. Corporate Office and therefore, shall have excellent written and oral communications skills sufficient to provide clear and concise communication and documentation.

The Business Specialist shall be identified as a Junior Business Development Specialist of Montech Inc. in all communication, such as email, telephone and written correspondence and shall not represent him/herself to be a government employee, agent, or representative.
