Stainless Tig Welder in Marne, Michigan at Solaire Medical Storage LLC

This position performs a variety of functions involved with tig welding stainless steel products, with the goal of manufacturing a quality part. Other responsibilities may include other metal shop jobs/functions.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

· Hand welding with TIG operations on 11ga, 14ga, 18ga stainless steel.

· Use passivation techniques to clean up welds on “A” surfaces

· Read and understand prints

· Ensure finished product meets quality expectations

· Assist in performing unscheduled welding related maintenance tasks as directed.

· Maintain a clean and organized weld area

· Use of metal fabrication tools

· Maintain the company housekeeping standards inside and outside the building.

· Maintain a safe work area.

· Organization and cleanliness of the weld cells and consumables

· Report safety to the appropriate management team member.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

· Must have Tig experience working with stainless steel

· Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience in a Manufacturing environment

· Experience with Mig welding preferred

· Experience with Robotic programing (creating, changing, and touching up programs) preferred

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities; work extended hours when required, make sound decisions under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.
