Job Overview:
Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School (LLACS) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance and Reporting Specialist to join our dynamic team at Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School. As a key member of the administrative team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school's adherence to federal regulations and overseeing various compliance and reporting activities, with a particular focus on Federal Programs coordination. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Federal Programs Coordination
- Oversee the implementation and compliance of various Federal Programs within the K-12 charter school
- Stay abreast of changes in federal regulations and policies related to education, ensuring the school's compliance with all applicable requirements
- Collaborate with school leadership and relevant departments to develop, implement, and monitor programs funded by federal grants
Compliance Management:
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the school's compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Work closely with different departments to develop and maintain processes that align with compliance standards
- Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters to enhance awareness and understanding
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare accurate and timely reports required by federal, state, and local authorities
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, reports, and other relevant records
- Collaborate with school leadership to develop strategies for improving reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Serve as project manager for all submissions to ensure timely and accurate completion of all reports and compliance activities
Communication and Collaboration:
- Develop and maintain a compliance calendar to ensure there is administration wide knowledge and communication of compliance and reporting activities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and communication with external agencies
- Collaborate with various departments, including finance, human resources, and academic teams, to gather necessary information for compliance and reporting purposes
Training and Development:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance-related topics, ensuring a deep understanding of regulations and reporting requirements
- Keep abreast of professional development opportunities and best practices in compliance and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in compliance and reporting within the education sector, preferably in a K-12 setting
- Strong knowledge of federal education regulations, especially those related to Federal Programs
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
